Hanging out with Little Jewelie....

been living at Mom and Dad's in Summerland for the last month or so.....
Jewelie and I have been hanging out a lot and having a lot of fun!

....Well I've been hanging out at Mum & Dad's in Summerland long enough, it's about time someone took me out for a bike ride!
This is a good way to get this party started. Johnny and some local boys took me to a little known singletrack called Rock Oven. You can work out for yourself why it's best to ride this one early. Johnny says it's only 2000' vert., but you gotta pedal up and the descents are a bit burly for your average XC guy. About 3/4's steep and sandy doubletrack, the rest is wicked technical climbing. The descent is ...well, you can see for yourself.

..and west. Those snowy slopes over there are the ski area. Besides Chuck D., local shop proprietor Dirt dropout and random Frenchie Pancho Campagnolo were along for the ride and me!



They sure have funny names around here.



In between these puckering drop off sections are some rowdy rock filled steeps, and the occasional high speed zoomer section.



You don't stop for pics on those zoomer sections though, so you'll just have to check out some more epic vistas.

I sure am outta shape compared to the long term locals, but there's no lack of inspiration to get out there. I think I'm going to be OK up here. These guys are a lot of fun!

Pretty soon Johnny and Barb and I will be moving to my new house!

I'm moving!!!!

Great news!!!
I am moving the the sunny Okanagan.
This is my new house in Westbank, Kelowna:



My last day in North Van is the 31st, and we get to move in on April 22. Until we get the keys, we are staying with Mom and Dad. Can't wait to check my new house out....I'm told that I have 2 doggie neighbors on one side and another doggie neighbor on the other AND MY yard is almost 1/4 acre with lotsa trees - fenced! Plenty of new smells and places to check out.....

Saturday at the park...

Barb bought a new toy for me!
It's kinda like a frisbee, but it's called a "flying squirrel". It even has glow in the dark "feet" so I can still see it if it gets dark outside!

January 22 & 23....

GONE SKIING.....

What a great weekend!!
Everyone took me skiing!
The first day Barb took me for a downhill ski on the ski run "Chicken Finger" and the "Stray Horse" trail to the cabin.
I had so much fun!!


The second day Mom & Jewelie came up with a few friends and they took me Cross Country skiing:


Then when Johnny came home, he took me out to "Chicken Finger" and "Stray Horse" again.









I had sooooooooooooo much fun! I love skiing!!
But I am super-tired now and feeling a little stiff.....

Girl's Day!

Johnny went bike riding on the Sunshine Coast for the day, so Barb and I had the day to ourselves!
After lounging around in our PJ's in the morning, and then we went to the park to play with my basketball....

It was such a pretty, sunny day, Barb couldn't help herself and took lots of pictures of me!!!

I am so tired now.
On our way back from the park, we visited our next door neighbor and then went home and had a snack. Now I am passed out on my down filled blanket having a nap!

Pre-Christmas Ride!

I went for a ride with Barb and her friends on Grouse Mtn today!
We rode Ladies Only, which must have been fun, because it looked slippery on the wood that had snow still on it. You should have seen the way they were sliding around!!



I really loved the snow!
Barb played in the snow with me for a while!
